About Me

I come from arid and semi arid marginalized region of Kenya called West Pokot county where cattle rustling is still norm of the time. each and everyone of us have a duty to change that face, that situation for a better peaceful prosperous future.
i believe one of the ways to do that is to invest in a small way/and in a big way on agribusiness.
i have embarked on banana farming, first as a proof that the region can do good on banana farming contrary to the believe that its dry area. one year down the line its a success story and some neighbors have come for advice, seedlings and others have started the farming. i am starting poultry farming too.
my long term goal of accessing this facility is to use the funds to expand my poultry farming so that it can also be a model farm for the neighborhood.

Loan Proposal

my intention is to have a modern poultry farm which will serve as training ground and supply base of poultry products in my village and county.
i intend to have over 1000 chickens in one year time.
since the policy of Zidisha only allows me to start from small facility as a new member, i have applied for the minimum 500kes so that i can buy 5 chicks to add to my existing number of 50 chickens.
i would like to graduate my loans within time to a level where it can help me achieve that goal of 1,000 chicken so that i can give the success story of Zidisha group to my region as we grow together over the time.
currently i get 10eggs per day which sale at 15Kes each. giving me net income of 550Kes per week.
