About Me
My Name is Evans Katana. I am a christian boy of 31 years old. My family financial status is poor. after finishing high school level I a passed my exams well and I had the desire to continue with my studies that is University. In Kenya things were tough financially so I was advised to apply a course in a neighboring country "Uganda" which was a little bit cheap. So they called me to pursue a course in bachelor of commerce but unfortunately I started the course but i stopped due to lack of Fees.
I decided to raise money by doing some little jobs in the community as gardener but because the wages were too low i lost the morale in learning. My desire is to invest as much as i can to get more fund for school..I situated my business in my home land and am trying to expose the little knowledge of computer literacy to my fell friend in the community where most of them are computer illiterate. My hobby was and is all about playing music especially in churches.
My Business
The services i offer most to the community is Internet, photocopying, printing, computer training and a little bit of graphic design. The place is cool and actually I came to realize that people had to pay a bus fare of not less than 250 to big towns searching for the same services that i offer because we are located in the rural part of Malindi. I thank God because the people of the land actually appreciate the service because there is no need to travel again!!
Loan Proposal
Hello, Zidisha Team, I want to thank you for everything that you are doing. My Plan for my business is that if i get enough cash through this loan I will be able to buy a number of computers for training and cyber.The price of refurbished computer is roughly $200 per piece and thats what i can afford than the new brands because of prices. Currently I have a good number of computer students who wish to know the basic operation of computer and the market for cyber cafe is not that bad and this gives me confidence that i will be able to pay the loan with no problems.
Through this project, i have seen the community changing to be better now that enough cyber cafe services can be offered in their area. Am sure if i inevest properly through this loan the profit will increase by half.

My business is a cyber cafe so most of tasks that i do are online. so they i still have an opportunity of doing my job online and safe at home. i have been doing and i can just notice a slight difference. am not affected as the way other business have been affected by covid-19.
