I am the only child of my mother and I am residing in Kahawa Wendani. I have successfully undergone training in community healthy worker and I have been awarded certificate.
I am employed by the government on part time basis as a community healthy worker in my community and my roles involves collecting data on local residence regarding their healthy, liasing with the divisional healthy officer and organizing healthy forums within my locality.
I started a tailoring shop within my community and I have hired a young man who is talented in making good clothes for ladies. I started this business to increase my revenue and also improve utilize my free time.
I am a proffessional community healthy worker and working with the government of Kenya on part time basis. I used savings from my salary to start a tailoring business. My business is growing steadily because of the talented young man who is creative in fashions, trustworthy and has respect to customers. Local women and young people have been requesting to be trained on how to make clothes but with only one sewing machines it has been impossible thus I intend to start a sewing training class in the same premises with my savings and loan whereby I will generate extra income.
I have employed a young talented man as the tailor for ladies clothes. I was attracted to business to utilize the free time, generate extra income and also love for fashions.
Am grateful for the zidisha members for supporting my business with the loan because it has enabled my business to grow and generate more profit but the demand for more training opportunity by local people has increased thus I intend to use part of my savings, salary and loan from Zidisha to rent a more spacious room and the rent is Kshs 5500 per month and I wish to pay for 4 months to avoid piling pressure on the business so rent in total will be
Kshs 22000, 3 sewing machines at a total of Kshs 17800, one overlock machines at Kshs 4300 and 5 trainees chairs each at Kshs 550 so total will be Kshs 2750, cutting trainees table at Kshs 7400. The expansion will enable more local people to be accommodate for training and also increase the monthly profit for the business.
