About Me

My name is Jane Wangui, born and raised in Nakuru town in the Rift Valley region of Kenya. I was born in a family of 5 and I am the third born. My parents are farmers who practised food farming. The food was mainly for feeding the family and they would sell the surplus to meet other family needs.

I went to school up to secondary school level and then joined a college where I took a course in beauty and hair care. I later relocated to Mombasa to live with my sister. This is where I started a business dealing with sale of second hand clothes. This is what I am still doing and this business supports my 2 children.

My Business

I deal with retailing second hand clothes in an open air market. I normally get the clothes from importers and then retail. I am surrounded by working people and these are my main clients. I make between $120 and $200 per month which I use to support my family.

I intend to open a stall in near future so that I can direct my clients to a permanent place as opposed to what I am doing right now. It is my hope that by benefitting from Zidisha loans, I will be able to achieve my dream soon.

Loan Proposal

I intend to buy more bales of used clothes with this money. Having established a good client base, I am now confident that I will be able to sell more if I add more stock.

I intend to buy an assortment of clothes ranging from children wear to adult wear. My business is doing quite well and I am hopeful that this will be even better after the injection of this new stock.

Hello all, my business has gone down a bit and I am finding it hard to pay KES 600 per week. I have halved the amount to KES 300 until the situation improves. Thank you.

My business has grown from selling clothes in an open air place to a proud owner of a clothes stall. This has made it convenient and easy to serve my customers. Thank you lenders.

I confirm that I received 18,113 KES. last week. I managed to travel to Nairobi and got a bale of clothes to sell at my stall. This will increase my profitability and I am so thankful to you lenders for the support.

Thank you so much lenders for your support. I was able to add my clothes stock with the money from the loan that I have just cleared. This money came when my business was almost crumbling. The cash boost gave the business the much needed impetus and I am still riding on that wave to date.

Lenders, thank you for funding my loan. I put the money into good use by boosting my stock of used clothes and I am happy that there has been an upward trend in my income. I want to build on this success to make my business grow even further.
