i am well known as Geoffrey, i studied in the following school, Kpakatet Primary school, Litein Boys secondary school and later Kericho Teachers Training institute. Getting employment has been a mountain to climb and thus with my knowledge in Agriculture having pursued these course in school, i decided to venture into serious farming at home.
I practice farming in my fathers land where i have planted maize in 1/2 acre piece of land and the the 1/2 acre i have planted cabbages. I started farming as a business following missing on employments.
Kericho is a unique town because of the large number of tea that i produced in the same that and exported for seal,
I am a farmer in Kericho town engaged in the production and selling of maize as well as cabbages. These goods are useful in that it is the staple food for many around our area and for these reason the demand is very high. I chose these business since i was good in agriculture way back in school and also with availability of land for farming it was the right business for me to take.
I have been using the income that i generate from the sale of my products to support my struggling parents in raising my siblings, i save part of the profits and also s\run some errands here and there.
My business has been doing so well since the first loan given by zidisha. I now wish to continue improving the same business and make it a bigger business in town. I will use this loan of 87 us dollars to buy a second hand motorbike at a cost of 550 us dollars. The loan will help me so much in buy the bike that will help me in delivering my produce to my customers. It will help me ease my movements in town and hence increase the income that i generate in the long run.
I am humbled and appreciative so much
