About Me

I’m a male Kenyan citizen born in the year 1984 in a village called Machorwa that is found in Kericho county Kaptoboiti Sub-Location southern part of Kenya Rift valley, started my early education in the year 1989 and completed my primary education in the year 1998. Joined secondary school education in the year 1999 and completed it in the year 2002. In college at Eldoret polytechnic, I studied Diploma in sales and marketing. I have worked as a banker with Barclay Bank in Bomet county. The kind of worked at Barclays Bank was not that secured in that the goals was to high to meet, so I opted to save a lot of money because the job was not secured. I left the job employment to start my own business of buying and selling the motorcycles (boda boda) parts at Kapsoit centre. I am able to work for a long period, which is, opening my business early enough before others open and closing business at a time when my customers are fully served. In addition to this, I give room for my customers to give feedback on the product I am selling, this helps in improving the quality of products and services given, on the other hand I do advice my customers especially the young people the benefit of saving and many have heeded to my advice making my business unique thus attracting more and more customers.

My Business

My business deals with all the selling of motorcycle spare parts , thus my business idea is to form an entrepreneurship that will identify gaps in my immediate environment and society at large and brings together resources in an innovative way to fill this gap that is: expand the business to cater for the big market available, to extend services related to this, of providing mechanics repair of the motorbikes, this will make me to be independent, self reliant and create job opportunities especially for the youths. My business provides the following products. Tyres, tubes, brake shoes, Brake pedals, lubricants, shock absorbers, cylinder heads, Wheel bearings, Mudguards, Sprocket, Gear selectors, all types bolts and nuts, helmets, Reflectors, Regulators- Ignition and many others. I have rented a house for business worth $100 for rent every month, $15 for electricity, $10 for water and stationery at $50.The security in the area is good as there is no high crime rate and our landlords have hired watchman. The area is near a road which has recently being tarmacked making my business accessible to many. In the near future I would develop good structures of mechanics and open up different branches in the area. Monthly sales is $625, cost of goods sold at $120 and purchases at $200 per month. This can give a gross profit of around $325 per month,I also do small scale horticulture that is spring onions, out door tomatoes and sweet potatoes. Through the profit I get from my business, I buy and keep heifer and bulls, later I sell them and stock my business.

Loan Proposal

If granted the loan, I will use the money to increase the stock due to the trust from the customers and brand loyalty. My customers have been very happy and queing to buy stock. The ,loan will be used to serve them well.
