I started my education at Kemera central in Nyamira county. I later joined Uriri high school, because i could not make it to university, the following year i joined Nyambaria boys school. I made it to Kenyatta university where I am pursuing bachelor's degree in education. when i joined university i found it very difficult to raise money for my needs, because my family could no longer support me. Therefore i enrolled for training as a hair dresser. I started with a single barber machine and now i am running a small beauty salon. There have been several challenges along the way but the passion and the will to help people look gorgeous has helped me achieve my goals. I will not forget to mention the hard working culture of the people in my environs. This is the challenge that keeps me going every day. I like reading a lot, more so entrepreneurial and beauty journals as well as inspirational books.
Being a salonist, i offer a variety of services from hair dressing to manicure and pedicure. To ensure that i get the best out of the services i offer, i also include a Berber shop. These services are always in demand as everyone needs their hair dressed well so as to look decent. Getting into this business is a matter of passion that was turned into an income generating business to meet my daily needs. Because this is a small and growing business some of my profits are reinvested in the business. As well, this business helps me to raise my rent and my daily needs. This is why i apply for this loan so that i can get more equipment to expand the business and be able to offer high quality service to customers. This will help me improve my customer base thus an increased income.
Since I acquired enough equipment for the salon, the number of customers has gone up, more so during the weekends, thus forcing some of them to wait outside. I am now planning to move to a spacious room and the loan will be of great help. This will enable me accommodate more clients and improve my business further. If I get about $200 it will help me move to a new facility with ease.
Regards.
