my name is nickson korir. was born from a humble background that it was even very hard for me to raise fees despite all that i managed and i passed with flying colours. lam now a third year student studying a degree in business management and also running a cloth business in a shopping center near moi university. My high school fee was paid by well wishers in our village as my parents could not raise all the fee. In university i always receive helb that has help me pay the fee. my father gave me some amount that i used to start the business that has really helped me a lot. the business is doing really well only that it needs expansion to help meet the demand. where i live people believe that to start a large company you must have a lot of money to start but me i think the small business i have will be bigger with time and it will be a large company where my children will come work in and avoid tarmacking to look for a job.i want my children not to live the life that i underwent. my hobbies are watching football which i sometimes play, traveling and reading novels
I own a clothe business in a shopping center near school that i personally operate partime and when in classes am helped with my sister. The business is worth approximately 50000 Kenyan shillings. I sell men trousers, all the ladies clothes and ladies shoes. cloth is one of the basic need one must have it. i sell clothes in fashion that the students in university demands. i choose this kind of business because it has a large market and the demand for them is higher especially from my fellow colleagues in the university. in a week i buy clothes worth 10000 Kenyan shillings and sell three quarter of them at a profit of like 5000 after subtracting all the costs in a month i get a profit of approximately 15000-20000 .i use part of my profit to pay fees and for my daily needs the rest i reinvest in the business that i want it grow to be a large company.
i will use 1000 kenyan shillings in the expansion of the building then 3565 wil be used in increasing the stock. i need to buy 10 t- shirts @70 of which it will be sold @ 100 each and inner wears @50 to be sold @100 and 6 men vests @60 that would be sold @ 100 the cloth bought would at least raise like 1200 kenyan shillings weekly of which 500 would be used to repay the loan while 300 would be used for upkeep and 300 would ne re-invested
