About Me

I am a Kenyan citizen 23 years of age born and brought up in Nairobi Kayole estate. I went through my primary education at Kwa watoto learning center after which i joined st. Mathews secondary school where i did my Kenya certificate of secondary education [KCSE] in the year 2003. My set out goal was to finish my secondary and obtain a certificate which i struggled through by the aid of my sponsors just directly from my primary at Kwa watoto center even though it was very hectic.I came to start my business after having helped my mother in selling mandazi to school to children after doing my secondary education which i started with a small kiosk just to earn a living from it. Where i live, we have small scale business people who do not prefer and not able to do shopping in bulk from the supermarket hence it is very beneficial for them as they able to do shopping just from within . When i will be blessed with children, i would like to empower them in education so that they would be able to give back to the society because it is the society who has made me to finish my education.During my free time, i do listen to spiritual songs and read spiritual books.

My Business

I deal with the basic goods which is selling of foodstuffs like flour, salt, cooking fat, sugar, rice, bread and many others. These goods are essential in the fact that food is a daily or time to time requirement in human life and therefore must be utilized hence must be demanded on a daily basis. I chose to this business because it never require much capital to start because i had to start with a small kiosk before renting a shop.My cost are; The monthly rental fee, cost of restocking, and permit license fee .I always use my profit in restocking, paying rent, saving a little for college which i am planning to start after two years from now.

Loan Proposal

If i am given the loan, i will buy 5dozens of 2kg packet flour worth 57 US dollars,12kgs of rice worth 20 US dollars and 24kgs of sugar worth 23 US dollars. This will help in maintaining my stock which will lead to increase in the a mount of profit that i will be getting from my business hence improvement in my savings and living standard as well as ensuring the availability of plenty of stock to my customers. I expect my profit to increase by 25 US dollars.
