About Me

My name reginah njeri njihia, a resident of mtwapa and a business woman in mtwapa as well. Am a single mother of one child who is a girl,she is twenty two years and is in the university. I live live alone here in mtwapa as my only child is doing her studies. I finishedc my primary school in 1995 and later did my secondary examination in 1999. After school i went straight to job seaking as i never had the chance of going to the university. In this job seaking i was employed by a local restaurant where i woked as a accountant where i woked for six years, duing this period i saved as much as possible because i never liked the idae of being employed because of the low payment these employers in Kenya pay. After this i decided to astart a wines and spirits pub. This business is good in the area i live because people here like going outing and most of my neighbors are people with European friends who mostly come here for holidays which makes my business have more potential.This is a good business as i get an income of ksh 25,000 per month. With the ksh 25,000 that i get from this business i use ksh 2,000 paying my house rent, ksh 3,000 paying rent at the pub, ksh 3,000 buying food and ksh 5,000 goes to my daughter's education.

My Business

My business is a wines and spirits pub. This pub is situated in mtwapa's beach area. Business in this area is doing better especially during holidays because many people come here during holidays.I admit this is a good business because i get enough to meet my family needs. With my business i have ready customers because i have neighbors who are my regular customers and am sure to say that they play a good part in my business. risks in this business are like high prices in the products that i sell, which gives me a challenge as the profit reduces. With my earning i use ksh 5,000 for my daughter's education, then ksh 2,000 is used to pat my house rent, ksh 3,000 is used to pay rent at the pub and ksh 3,000 for food so i save ksh 12,000 per month. With this amount of money i can repay my zidisha loan without any problems.

Loan Proposal

My greatest appreciation to the entire zidisha team and my lenders who made me reach this far. With my loan i want to make my business more attractive to my customers, so with this loan i want to refurnish my pub and replace all old chairs. And also add more of my drinks stock. So with this i will have added value to the business.
