I am the first born of my parents among other eight siblings. I started my primary education at Badu Presby Primary School in the year 1986 at the age of eight (8) whilst staying with my grandma. I graduated to Asuafu SDA Junior Secondary School in 1992 and completed by Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in 1995. I proceeded to Yamfo Anglican Senior Secondary School ; having not satisfied with the Programme of study, I had to come back to Asuafu SDA Junior Secondary School where I joined the third year students to write another BECE in 1997. I proceeded to Techiman Adventist Secondary Technical School in 1998 and completed in 2000 with a certificate in Senior Secondary Certificate Examination.
I went through difficulties whilst rising to become the first University Graduate in my family. Sometimes I had to run away from school to look for some menial jobs to feed myself throughout my basic school up to the university.
Though I am gainfully employed as a graduate teacher, I thought it prudent to engage in other business to earn much to support my other siblings and take good care of my Wife and three children. After a lenghthy discussion with my wife, we choose to sell mobile phone recharge credits, which has yielded some good returns.
We started with Gh¢ 1,000.00 worth of capital but has now grown to Gh¢ 3,000.00
I earn a monthly profit of Gh¢ 600.00 after deducting all other expenses. I have been reinvesting part of the profit and use part for childrens education.
I hereby request this loan to enable me buy more stock of mobile phone credit cards to increase my stock base. I will also use part of it to add up to my mobile money merchant business. I must say that the previous ones I took have been helpful in establishing and sustaining my business up to date.
I pledge to repay the said loan within the time I have stipulated. I want to express my profound gratitude to Zidisha for continuing to help people establish their businesses. I would also like to appeal to Zidisha to increase the amount that is granted to individuals as the amounts are mostly inadequate to start up huge business that requires a bit large capital.
