About Me

I Jared Ogaro was born in the Kisii County, previously Kisii District, Keumbo market.

I went to Keumbu Primary school where I attained my KCPE, Kenya Certificate of Primary Education and Later Joined my Secondary Education, when I completed my KCSE, Kenyan Certificate of Secondary Education, I could not be able managed to College due lack of financial fees that my parents could not be able to raise. I joined my driving school course which I was sponsored until I completed in 3 months and after two months later I joined Boda boda (motorbike business) where was employed, within a few months I joined taxi as a driver where I was also employed October 2012.

I am a married man with one loved wife, we are blessed with one child as our family is still young and growing.

My Business

I am a taxi driver business owner whereby I offer transport services in Kisii County. Previously I was employed but after a few years I managed to get my own car that now I own although is a secondhand car salon car of the old model but it is in good condition. It is working and same time changing spares to get it back to good condition. I am still able to manage my customers well and they love my services very much due that I am always honest to my business and customers too and this has indeed helped to maintain my customers all the time. The taxi driver business is also profitable when managed well and the car is well serviced and maintained for the comfortability of the customers.

This taxis business also have risks whereby customers request my services on credit or sometimes when their is am emergency, but few sometimes do not turn up to repay and we end up loosing the money or others pay less than the agreed amount of services.

Yes, in this business their is revenues as the monicipality charges per day is KES 60 and the Insurance fee for the car is KES 8,000 per year. I need to request for the Zidisha loan to invest in this buiness and gradually I will need to get a brand new car to enable me to move from taxi to car hire which is more profitable business in the Kisii County currently.
