I was brought up in a below average family. My parents struggled to get me through high school. With earnings from the small family farm that is mainly used for subsistence farming. I managed to secure a small job of which the income is below KES 10,000.00. With my 4 siblings that am supporting financially. With some little savings I managed to get some stock that am currently selling in Kapsabet town. And also create employment for others as I keep on supporting my family.
Thank you
This is a retail clothes business that I sell from my small corridor/kiosk. I also do hawk in the markets around kapsabet in Nandi county.
I did some research and discovered that the clothes business is common but very lucrative everywhere including Nandi county, where especially during the cold season jackets and sweaters are really needed and you can make good sales.
Averagely I get a profit of between KES. 5000-KES. 15000 per month depending on how good the business was in that month.
My expenses are mainly rent and market fees,
The earnings I get I use them to support my siblings who are in school and my household expenses.
With funds I can expand this business more by adding more variety of needed clothes that I don't have, create employment for others in need and at least have some savings to support other need people in society.
Thank you
I would like to purchase more clothes because currently am operating below average as I can not fund additional stock. If I can manage to raise USD1000 I can manage to open a big shop, employ at least two employees to assist me. But for now I want to expand slowly by adding extra stock of USD 50. With this I can be able to lay ground for expansion. May be increase my profit by 10 to 20 USD. My siblings will be sorted with school fees.
Note that I have decided to apply for USD 1000 considering my ability to pay. In future I will request for more as the business improves.
Thank you
