About Me

My name is violet mutua, currently in Nairobi City. I am a 26 year lady from meru county, third born in a family of five children. My childhood was fair since my parents were all working at that time so i managed to go to best schools in primary level. however as fate would have it my dad lost his job and life changed suddenly. still with all the challenges I managed to attend the best school in meru county for my o-levels. however due to challenges in school fees payment I did not perform so well, to get a regular admission to the university. since my parents could not afford a self sponsored degree programme, I had to stay at home.
I ventured into farming to raise some money for a tertiary course. after three years I successfully managed to join a college and pursued a diploma in Information Technology. however, due to high demand of people with degree i could not manage to secure a good job. thus i decide to venture into online business .
During free time I normally read motivational books about business and spiritual nourishment. I also listen to music and travel a lot.

My Business

My online business is transcription company. I outsource transcription services locally and internationally. Transcription involves listen to recorded media and typing what u hear. this could be conference calls, webinars, speech just anything its not limited to anything.I work for Odesk, elance, speechpad and a few private customers. i chose this business because it is flexible and my IT skills are applicable in the field. the overall cost is ksh5,000 for the internet bundles to ensure that I am available for my clients to meet their demands. other cost are just the regular laptops maintenance.
the profits i make I have invested in agri-business. so far I have chicken and rabbits. I am planning to add a dairy cow in a few months from now.

Loan Proposal

Currently , the laptop I am using keeps switching on and off suddenly. this slows down my work and makes me lose my work most times.So when I get the loan, I am planning to sell the one I have add the money and get a new machine that will be efficient. since the laptop price currently goes for $295 the sale of my laptop is inevitable.
once i get the laptop i will be able to handle more audios and even train a few people on working online to reduce unemployment.
