About Me

I am James Maina Wangari,(male), I.D. No. 9143533, born in 1967 at a village called Mathaithi in Karatina town, Nyeri county. Joined Primary School called Kirigu Primary School in the same village at the age of six years, did my C.P.E in 1982. Joined Secondary education in a School called Mathaithi Secondary School in 1983 to 1986 when I did my Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education. (K.C.S.E.) Having not done very well in my K.C.P.E., I decided to look for simple but paying jobs in various areas in my County then. I have worked since then in various fields as a casual laborer until 2005 when I decided to start a small scale business as a shoe repairer.
I relocated from Karatina town to Timau town in Meru County started a small business of shoe repairing and selling of accessories that appertains to shoe repairing until now.
There has been financial challenges, ups and downs as any other new business.

My Business

Since 2005 when I started the shoe repairing business, I have improved the small business to a medium business earning a little more than before. I have now started selling new shoes which I buy from other towns e.g. Nairobi or Meru town, and then sells them at a profit from the price I got them with. I have also introduced a small section to deal with matters appertaining to printing and photocopying. Currently the area lacks these amenities and that's why I decided to go for the idea. The said business is permitted by the County Government of Meru through business permits which I pay every year.
I am now able to pay School fees for my children, cater for my daily house needs and still reinvest to grow the business to greater heights.

Loan Proposal

Hi!, Thanks for the far we have gone with you. After getting the loan, I will buy more stock of new shoes and other accessories apataining with shoes repairs. I will also try and get more stock apataining with shoes
