About Me

Living on a rich man’s land as landless and poorest family, at Kinyoro with no access to education, I emerged successful person. I talked to neighboring kind rich man to help cover my education costs in exchange of helping with house work. My plea was accepted by both the husband and wife. Unfortunately they passed away when I was still in high school. Their deaths terminated my education instantly.
With no option to education, I got married J. Munyany. My husband left for Mombasa in search of job, he was successful to secure a job at private security company. I left slopes of Mt. Elgon for Mombasa to stay with my husband. Life was so hard because my husband earned little from his job. We decided to start MUN CAFÉ to help finance family needs. It was the only one of the kind. My husband became anonymous carpenter for the first time but he made tables and chairs because we had no money to buy them. We used little cash we had to buy food stuffs, beverages and utensils. Life became simple.
One good thing from here is, there are Many Customers and population is big enough for business to grow.
I love my 6 children. 1 son, 4 daughters and 1 total orphan under our family care.

My Business

Help fund my business shortfall
I am considering upgrading my food and beverage café in downtown Mombasa because there is no such cafes for middle class people with good facilities, variety of food stuffs and beverage options
On December 2014 I opened MUN CAFÉ which sold food stuffs and beverages near Moi Avenue, Mombasa. However, things have never been harder.
As government upgraded roads, railway while landlords upgraded their houses have led to rise on town standards. It’s extremely harder for me to maintain customers because of lack of variety of food stuffs and beverage options.
I am staying positive and knowing that I will get through this. However, I have a plan. I have had food and beverage cafe designer in and plan to revamp the cafe to include additional good furniture, variety of cheap food stuffs, beverage options that customers always ask from us.

Loan Proposal

The good thing is that good location of the Mun Cafe gives us platform for at least 85% increase in customer base and we are also going to have more hours at night than before!
This has all cost money and we've fallen short equivalent of $1500. This is needed to cover
1) Purchase of 40 Chairs $ 900 to enable us to get more customers sit down and order meals and retain previous customers
2) Purchase of 7 Tables $ 600 enable us have more customers eat comfortably and attract more
We have searched everywhere but cannot raise this $ 1500. That's why we're reaching out to you.
Once this year, 2018, is over, with the new changes we've implement, we will get back on traffic. My daily customers and I have told most of the local people and friends who left us due to lack of enough tables and chairs about our new plan and 985% seem very interested and glad.
Please help us get through the next year and we'll be forever grateful.
I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for giving whatever you can to help me get through this difficult time.
My restaurant uses its profits to buy school supplies for 1 less privileged child. This project has not been successful since the beginning of 2017 because I didn't make profits as it used to be.
