I am a mother and a health assistant. I did business at the Bechem Senior High School and currently a health assistant by profession. To achieve my current aim by teaching and training the needy I had to work very hard as a health assistant at the Hospital. Before I started this program, I had to save part of my salary. I love my people so I want to help them live a better life. I started this voluntary work in 2015 when I realised life was so difficult for some of the women in my area. Paying for their children's school fees was a problem. Feeding them too was also another problem they needed to overcome. The people of Berekum are kind, creative, innovative and humble. Almost every child in Berekum would like to become either an engineer or a medical doctor.
I am a Dental Assistant but I also manufacture liquid detergent and also teach the unemployed women production of certain items so that thy can also feed themselves. What I do is very important and beneficial to my community because it helps the women also learn something new and then convert them to useful products that can be sold for them to earn something. In fact, most of these suffer before they can even get a food to eat. I chose to teach them so that they can also get money ti feed themselves and their families. For every meeting, I spend close to $50. In a month, we meet twice. When I am given the loan, I want to buy equipment and also hire a team to continue with the outreach smoothly. Thank you
When I am given this loan by this honored institution, I will first of all hire some people to expand my outreach team so that the outreach would be frequent and faster than the current rate. I would also buy more equipment since the team would increase. Also more chemicals for the production. We would also be running simultaneously meaning the team may be divided depending on the resources that we have. For now, the training is done in just my area but in future, we shall spread to churches and other institutions to train our women to be entrepreneurs. This steps that I have started will help eliminate poverty in my town. Sometimes these women find it difficult to even get food for their family and school fees for their children's education. We may need about $209 to cover most of our expenses. Thank you.
