About Me

I was born in Siaya district, raised in Malindi, up until class 5, after which we moved to Nairobi with my parents in search of greener pastures. Forward back to 2010, when I did my KCSE and scored an A-. I was then called to pursue Actuarial Science at Moi University. My parents could not raise the funds to admit me so I applied for a HELB loan, which sustained me until I got my degree. I have always been an artist and I made the difficult decision to follow my talent instead of pursuing the corporate world. When business is good, it's REALLY good, but then when it's bad it's REALLY bad. I'd really appreciate your financial assistance at this point to help me raise the capital to really kick start this dream that I've had since I was a little girl. I'd love to own a workshop at the Godown Art Center where people can easily access me and view my works. Thank you for taking your time to consider my application

My Business

I make paintings and drawings for both individuals and organizations. The art industry really never goes out of demand. I chose this business because I have a real passion for art and I'm great at it. A portrait drawing usually goes for around ksh. 5000, making a profit of around ksh. 3000 after deductions. I use the profits to buy new materials and to assist my parents in paying my sister's school fees.

Loan Proposal

I'll buy a canvas to continue with my paintings in preparation for the October exhibition at Lavington Mall. Half a metre squared canvas costs 400 shillings, then framing goes for 450 shillings. Thank you in advance
