About Me

Am a firm believer of the mantra "If you do what you love, you will love what you do" and you will never get tired, bored or wish to change anything. Am a qualified and skilled marketer, supplier, interior designer and journalist. I lost my parents at a tender age of 10 years and though I had my relatives to bring me up, I had to look for sponsors to get me through college. I have been employed in a supply company for interior design fittings for about 4 years and I just lost my job late last year. Since I loved what i was doing coupled with the fact that there is a construction boom in Kenya, I approached one lady friend of mine so we could put our resources together to open a company. There is a lot of opportunity around where I live and that's why I believe I can do it. I have one daughter only and she wants to be a dentist and a Mummy just like myself.. I love reading detective novels, traveling to new places and going for road trips, hiking . Also check my other Facebook A/c at [email protected]..

My Business

Anyone who’s been on either end of the “know a good contractor/landscaper/painter” conversation understands the solid-gold value of Good Quality Materials. I sell & supply good quality materials such as; structural Timber, MDF/Marine/Block boards, tiles, sanitary ware, granite, roofing options, Paint, Steel, Cement etc & accessories to go with the items I sell.I also do advise my clients on what to go for depending with their need and their budget. There is a construction boom in Kenya and coupled with the fact that I am experienced and I loved what I do, I decided to go for this business. This business is very capital intensive and already am feeling the crunch of going in to this business. I feel that there are no structures in place to in Kenya to support the youth and their business ventures. It only recently that such structures are being put into place and even so, its still very hard to emerge as such a beneficiary. I have not started making a lot of money since we are still very new as a company. We only make about KES 40,000-70,000 shillings in one month. This means we end up going home with only 20,000/= in a good month after expenditures. This means we have to find something else to do on the side so as to cover our monthly bills like, School fees, rent, fare and also re investing in to the business.

Loan Proposal

I will use the loaned money to put shelves and build a better showroom for displaying my products. This will cost approximately 350 dollars. This is going to help me in selling since clients love well displayed products and also helps in creating space. Am looking at an increase of about 20% or more in profits.
