About Me

My name is Victor Otieno.
I was born in December 17,1993 at Kojwach Location in Homa Bay County.
I am the first born in a family of six.
My primary education began in Ogera Primary School through to class eight. This I excelled and proceeded to Apondo Secondary up to form four. This, also I passed well and later joined Asumbi Teachers' Training College, which is still ongoing.

Before joining college, I searched for something to do, landing in a cashier job in Nairobi. Here I served for a period of one year but encountered challenges. This prompted me to start my own business but was empty-handed. For this, I thank my friend who lent me 5,000KES which I used to purchase the first bunch of small photo studio backgrounds. Business has been well but my customers were not satisfied since I could not stock what they wanted all the time.Because of this, looked for ways of improving this and a friend of mine-Hans introduced me to Zidisha.

In my land, doing business is not a subject because we believe that business is left to a particular community in Kenya. This, I want to disapprove being that all that matters is the enthusiasm that one puts in the business that sees them through. I WILL NOT FAIL!

For now I am unmarried but will always want the best for my children when that time reaches.

Listening to music is always a delight, besides, as a volleyball player, I am always fit and healthy to venture into serious business, with clear and upright mind.

My Business

The main and only, at least for now, is buying and selling of photo studio backgrounds.

These goods are on demand because, in my area, no one does it, yet many do photo business and are in dire need of good backgrounds.

I chose this kind of business because I believed, and still believe that it will break my financial challenges and move my livelihood a notch higher.

For me to purchase one 6mx4m background I need at least 4,000KES which is then sold at 10,000KE. This is highly profitable if they are stocked in bulk, giving my customers a variety of them to choose from.

My business is still growing under the pillars of accrued profits from time to time.
This has helped me rent a stall and pay part of my college fees besides help from well-wishers.

I WILL PURSE MORE PHOTO STUDIO BACKGROUND MATERIALS AT KSH.19.5DOLLARS.THIS WILL CREAT A BENEFIT OF 7.5DOLLARS TO ME AND MY EMPLOYEES.THIS WILL MAKE AN INCREMENT OF 5% OF THE TOTAL SALES MADE.THIS WILL ENABLE TO PURCHASE MORE MATERIALS FOR MY BUSSINESS.SOME OF THE PROFIT MADE I WILL PLOUGH BACK INTO THE BUSINESS.THIS WILL MAKE ME ADJUST ON THE LIVING STANDARDS.THE 5% INCREMENT I WILL USE TO EXPAND MY WORKING PREMISES SO THAT I EXPECT A BETTER PROFIT AS TIME GOES BY.THE REMAINING 70% WILL MAKE THE BUSINESS RUN SMOOTHLY AND STEADILY BEFORE ACHIEVING THE CRUDE PROFIT.
