About Me

I was brought up in a village near Berekum called Fetentaa in Ghana. I had my basic school education at Fetentaa Methodist Basic School. When I was in class two (2) at the age of seven (7) years, my father passed away. Since my mother was the only one taking care of seven (7) children which my father left to her, I struggled with my education at that time. I completed my basic education in the year 2004 and continued to Berekum Presbyterian Secondary School. I completed Secondary School Education in the year 2007. In 2010, I furthered to West Africa Baptist College in Wa in the Upper West Region in Ghana. I got BA in Theology in the year 2015.

My Business

I raise pigs. I raising has become important in my community because of the demand of pork on the market. Many people consume pork because it is healthy and delicious. The demand of it has become so high that it is not difficult to be sold on the market. I chose this business because I love raising animals and also the demand of it on the market. I like working on the pig farm.
In raising pig to increase breeding and for the market, I need about $2,000 to get everything in proper order. This amount will help me to get appropriate, healthy and good for pig farm and also proper medication and food.
If every goes well, it help me to increase income to help me take care of my family. It will help me to pay my siblings school fees and also my wife's siblings for them to get proper education. The income from the farm will also help me to increase in farm production so that in future I can employ others to work in my farm so that they also will be able to take care of their families which will reduce unemployment ratio in our country.

Loan Proposal

I will use some part of the loan to buy sow-litter protective cage to keep the litters from being killed by the sows when they are young since one of the sows killed six (6) litters when young. The cage will be about $196. I will use other part to buy about six (6) soy beans bags to supplement their food to build up their size and weight in both the piglets and bigger pigs. The cost will be about $408. I will use some of the loan to buy medicine for deworming and medicine for piglets and cost is $54. There are other things I am still making enquiries about.
This will help me to increase in my production since cage will keep the sow from lying on the litters. The soy beans supplement will build their muscles which will help them to increase in weight and size so that in buying price will rise for me to increase my income from the farm. The medicine will also keep them from various sicknesses especially the piglets. This will help me to be able to take care of my family.
This will help get increment in my income about 40% percent because I will get healthy and big pigs

I am planning to use part of the loan to buy body building food for the pigs to increase in size and weight. I will use part to buy piglet shield to protect them from the sow lying on the piglets in future since 6 died out of that. I will use part to buy medicine for injection of piglets and pigs.

We are now seeking for buyers to buy one of the males so that we can use the money to buy soybeans to feed the others to gain weight. The little ones are not all that big because of that we cannot sell them to get some income from the farm. Now, my zidisha application is not also going through for me to get some loan from my lenders to help me give them good food for body building. Thanks to lenders who helped me when the pigs were small. God bless you all. Now I have two sows with piglets. I hope zidisha team will help fix the problem for me to get some loan to continue my pig farm business.

The loan helped me to build a stronger pen which the big pigs cannot break. This new pen has helped me to keep the pigs from roaming around to destroy people's properties and to contract diseases. Now my pigs have increased from six (6) to fourteen (14), and I am expecting more in two months time. Thank you for your help.

The loan helped me to repair the old pen. I was able to expand the farm for future increment in the farm since two of the females are now pregnant. I was able to buy more feed for pigs.

I cannot pay the current installment amount because the income from the farm is too little which has made it impossible for me to pay the current installment amount.
