Hi, my names are Mark Kaimenyi and currently live in Nairobi. For now I'm student studying accounts part time but during the day i busy myself with accounting jobs to help me pay my school fees. I had the idea of doing pig farming of which i have started and its doing well. I started this venture in order to expand my income and to create job opportunities for my fellow youths when the business grow
Thank you so much and GOD bless you for giving the young task the opportunity to prosper
It is a business of fattening swine with 7 pigs, and three others who are being fattened for 4 to 5 months; the type of pig to fatten is the Korhogo race, the target market is the local market. Clients prefer to buy my produce because I practice better prices, which is to say less expensive than the competition. Statistics in Kenya show that pork supply is insufficient. This means that today’s pork industry is still profitable. Risks are minimized through health monitoring by State technical officers, and controlled diet administered to the animals. With a healthy diet, one can reach 100 and 1030 kilograms of live weight for a pig of 4-5 months.
