About Me

I am Baffoe-Kyeremeh Amos, born to Mr. and Mrs Kyeremeh, from Berekum in the Brong-Ahafo region of Ghana. I am 27 years of age.
I completed my basic education in 2004 at Methodist Primary and Junior High School in Biadan a suburb to the town aforementioned, from where I furthered to read general science in Berekum Senior High. Despite the difficulties in finances, my parents with the help of my teachers helped me to enroll into the University in 2010 where I earned my bachelors degree in Environmental Health and Sanitation Education with first class division in 2014.
With the current unemployment situation in my nation, I decided to raise some money to get something doing for myself and accordingly decided to save some money from the little I earn from my voluntary service as a service person which I started in 2014.The establishment of a Nursing Training School in my town of service-Sampa led me into conceiving the idea of setting up a cyber cafe where students will likely patronize to access information for their course work. With the little money I had raised, I purchased three desktops to start a cyber cafe to serve as a security hoping to lean on it especially after my soon ending voluntary service where the chance to secure employment is highly infinitesimal.
My hobby anyway, is reading research papers and I'm hoping to further my education in this regard should my business boom and become a reliable and sustainable source of income .

My Business

My business is actually a cyber cafe which serves the public by making the internet accessible to them. A price is charged per unit time ,that is GHC 0.5(approximately 0.2 dollars) per thirty minutes of internet access.
I chose this business with the prior knowledge of the establishment of a tertially institution( Nursing Training College) in this community, however the cashew season has drawn more people into the town both foreigners and other Ghanaian indigens who highly patronize my services and I'm able to make GHC 10-to-GHC 30 (About 2.52-to -7.6dollars )a day out of GHC 120(about 30.3 dollars) worth credit bundled(10G) for at most a month. Implying a minimum of GHC160(4.36 dollars) profit is made at the end of the month.
I wish to extend my services by purchasing more computers that will be used for games by children who come in here in quest for such services and a printer and a photocopier machine to incorporate printing services in my business.I hope these will also serve to increase the realm of my income source in the cafe.

Loan Proposal

I wish to be considered and be given a loan to be able to purchase a photocopy machine and a printer to facilitate work at my cybercafe. The cyber cafe, amidst all challenges, attracts new customers as times come by. However lack of these facilities creates inconveniences to customers who wish to print out some documents and/or make some photocopies . It is therefore imperative to provide such services at the cafe.
A printer cost about 91.4 US dollars and a photocopy machine about 104.4. Together about195.8 US dollars is needed to purchase these machines.
The standard price charged for printing a document in Sampa here is 0.26 US Dollars and that of a photocopy 0.05 US dollars. All things been equal, with respect to the number of customers, a profit of not less than 6.2 US dollars can be made in a week from these machines.
I promise to make good use of any loans lenders disburse to me and promise to go by my payment schedule should my proposal meet your approval.

I just received a message indicating that I have not payed my installment due on the 04/10/2015. But I payed this amount on the 6/10/2015 as evidenced by my mobile money account statement. I will be very happy if zidisha could check it out from their system and correct the anomalies. Thank you.

      Amos,
You should know that this space is meant for communication between lenders and borrowers. While lenders are concerned about your difficulties, we do not have the access to help very much. I suggest you send an email to Zidisha at [email protected].

Having said that, it is my expectation, that because the repayment rate is calculated on the date the funds are received by the bank, not the date that it is processed by Zidisha that delays would not affect the borrowers adversely. (I have asked for confirmation of this in a recent email.) Even so, it still remains an issue for those concerned, because they/we want to identify the errors so they can be corrected in a timely manner.
We are concerned, and we are working to improve it.

Business has been a little rough nowadays so I want to reduce it in order to maintain my faithfulness to my lenders.

      Dear Amos,

To reduce your payments, please log into your Zidisha account and follow the instruction in the 'reschedule loan' section. If you have any question, please do not hesitate to contact us on [email protected]. It is better to contact us directly since we often can miss comments here in your discussion board which is primarily intended for communication with lenders. Thank you.

      Best wishes,
      Melissa

Thanks for funding my loan. I will buy one additional desktop computer to add to the existing one. This will go a long way in helping to relieve my customers of the burden of waiting for others to finish browsing before having the opportunity.
