My name is Moses Wachira Njege of 23 years of age.I am a graduate from Masinde Muliro Universitry of science and Technology;a professional in Bachelor of Hospitality and hotel catering. My hotel is cited in Kakamega town;a place where I found that there is a wide market gap on the kind of services delivered to prospect customers and therefore i found it to be a great opportunity to venture in Kakamega town and start my own business of hotel and outside catering.
Through contributions and great assistance from my family members, part of loan from the government and part of my savings,I was able to start of my business. My business is located and sorroudend by a dense population stretching from the university students who come to take their meals in the hotel all the way to the common people i.e matatu drivers, conductors and cyclists.i love identifying new gaps in the market, swimming and making friends.
I provide fast moving foods and bevereges which are highly in demand and customer compelling because of their high quality and chap prices. As compared to other hotels,my business tries to offer best service to customers which is one of the many reasons that attracts customers and sustain them.
Being a professional in hotel and catering and a talkative person I chose this kind of business and cited it in a place where there was a gap in the market.
I have been incurring some costs in running my business;paying workers, increased government tax and my marginal rate of profit is ever decreasing.
I want to expand my business i.e the floor area covered by premises and i have a project of which i want to buy a modern fridge of storing the perishable foods.
My profit stretches to many directions;I assist my parents in educating our young sister who is in secondary school and as well catering for my basic necessities e.g house rent and transport.
I currently have 100 chicken,which gives me a profit of Ksh500.
I'm planning to add more chicken so that I can be getting a profit of atleast Ksh 2,000
