About Me

I was born and raised in western part of Kenya from a poor back ground family of four brothers and four sisters. My dad straggled and took us to school up to forth form. Then we had to look for our own means of making ends meet. I have nine children. My children aspired to be doctors pilots and engineers. All this time I have been a small scale sugarcane farmer, till when sugar cane lost value recently, and that's when I tried my luck in poultry and livestock farming. I have two children in high school and one in University. One in form one and the other one in form three. I have been relaying on sugarcane funds for educating my children till when they lost value, That is when I decided to try my income luck in poultry and dairy products. Now that I depend mostly on other peoples production, I face stiff challenge from my fellow competitors who produce direct and sale their products. My University son has an ambition of becoming a doctor in life. The third form son is aspiring to be a pilot one day in future. While the form one son think of becoming an engineer or a farmer in future. I can see they are having good inspiring dreams that gives me a challenge to work harder to brighten their future. My child wood life was a tough one that I do not want my children to experience. We never took education seriously because one cared if you passed or not in the entire village. We could even stay the whole day on a single meal and we were used to it. When I found Zidisha, I felt like this is the only optional bridge to make me access my childrens future.

My Business

My business involves buying and selling of milk and eggs at the local market. This products are useful for daily human needs for milk is used for breakfast and eggs are used jointly in different meals. The cash I get from this business is for consumption and school fees purposes. I purchase the products from producers and sale direct to consumers. I have begun keeping some poultry so that I can produce my own products. Im looking forwerd to keeping dairy cows in future.

Loan Proposal

I will use the loan to increase the poultry project, thus looking forward to making more income to carter for my family house hold needs and school fees for my three schooling children. When the birds reproduce they increase their value, and the products are also an income. Im looking foward to creating an income of 1000 dollars per day and more.
