About Me

l was raised in the rural areas by my parents, who by then they were working farmers .
l learned in a public school which had no facilities to enhance a successful learning culture but l managed to score well and proceeded to high school. l managed to complete my studies and continued to college for my diploma in library and information sciences and proceeded to do a degree course of the same. After completing my education, l landed my new job which is flexible thus l get time to manage my business effectively.in the community where l live people are respectful and ready to guide. They are also God fearing. l love reading business magazines because they motivate me a lot.

My Business

l am a poultry farmer, a business that l have ventured for two years now. L started poultry farming with my savings because it was a my passion for which l had a lot of interest in. poultry business is easy to start and manage because it requires little capital. I have managed to acquire the basic knowledge and equipments to boost my business through family and friends. The income l get(60,000 pm) is used in expenses such as house rent 8500,food 5000,electricity 1500,other expenses 3000, savings and the rest l goes back to cater for related poultry needs. The main challenges of this business are: Water, Electricity and Disease Control Problems-The sector now faces a number of issues and difficulties including water, food, electricity and other major problems. In addition to the challenges posed by the various pathogenic diseases, the farmers also face the problem for low capital. Help from the side of the government and other investment institutions, is all that is needed by them for ensuring health growth and development conditions for the domesticated animals. High Production Cost and Low Return Most of the us small scale of the third world countries are forced to sale our products at low costs to the suppliers, which in turn earn some large profits from them. Limited Access to the Core Markets It is all because of the limited access to the worldwide markets which is barrier. As l get little return on what l sale, so i never try to improve the quality of the poultry products and farms. If funded well l can make significant improvements in these production systems through the use and implementation of the most advanced and scientific practices.
