About Me

My name is Jones Agutu from Kenya. I'm 30
years old with a background education on Agribusiness at my college level. This was my greatest achievement after under going vigorous schooling in National Youth Service paramilitary college. I've had an interest in agriculture for a very long time and I saw the need to start poultry farming since egg demand was extremely high in my locality. For your information, we eat eggs from Uganda a neighbouring country. This means local production is low to meet the market demand. My hobby is majorly reading enterprenural and agricultural books. I run too an hatchery by the name of Agoro Poultry Hatchery that sells day old to one month old chicks.

My Business

My main source of income is from my salary. This can't enable me support my family so a need for a second income. This would make me raise socially active people in the community. I got a loan earlier from Zidisha and it has really managed my hens to lay eggs timely and the growth rate of the chicks has increased.

Loan Proposal

The loan will be used for poultry growers mash and newcastle vaccine purchases. This will go at a cost of 8.5$ and 3.32$ respectively. With this purchases my poultry flock would have constant feeding and vaccination hence resulting to faster growth and less mortality. A healthy bird fetches a good price and most customers prefer that.
