About Me

I was born in a family of five.Am a third born.We were brought up by both parents and enjoyed a stable family. We lost our dad when I was 15yrs and life became really tough.Sometimes I had to do very odd jobs to get food. All in all society did help through well wishers in school fees till I completed both primary and secondary education. I did start poultry farming to raise capital for a driving I was pursuing. The business has been really a blessing. I did start with a single chick I borrowed from my cousin. I raised it and in two months it started laying eggs and hatched where six chicks survived.I have a flock of 10 hens 3 cocks and 8 chicks.

My Business

On a typical month I make a profit of 1000/- from sale of both chicks and eggs.I chose poultry because it was easier to run and the risks involved were few. Starting capital was affordable.Profits accrued are partly ploughed back to business and partly to fund home budget.

Loan Proposal

I will get more eggs to hatch for chicks and hens for rearing and sell. The cost will be $9 and $4 for emergency vaccination and chick feed
