About Me

Since I started this business in the year 2000 todate I have really tried to expand it by doing printing to schools and institutions. I also do typing, scanning, laminating and binding services. Right now I have 5 computers, 2 printers, scanner, binding machine, laminator. Sometimes I supply textbooks and cleaning materials depending on the tenders. I also supply tomatoes and groceries to a school and institutions. I also apply for tenders in schools, County government and hospitals...Sometimes I do screen printing also.Mostly I do alot of work for schools and catholic church within Kakamega and Kisumu counties and environs .. I also have some clients in Kitale and Bungoma Counties. If I get more funds I am intending to expand my business to nearby counties and adding mpesa services and photocopying services. Business is mostly good when funds are available because clients pay later. If you get tender they give deadline and expect you to deliver within the given period. I am looking to foward to venturing into matatu business in future. When I started the business I was alone and it was very hectic for me running up and down to get stock and do deliveries at the same time. Meeting the given deadline was an issue becaused I used to do printing in Nairobi.. I was also geting stationeries from Nairobi. I used to travel at night in order to do my business during day time and travel back at night again. Currently I have 3 employees at the but when I get more work I normally hire casual workers. My income varies from time to time depending on how I get stock. My business is really improving the only problem is lack of funds. I am looking forward to doing alot of business with you to grow my business. I am intending to do wholesale business. At the moment there are many people doing the same business thereby creating alot of competition hence the need to diversify. By doing that I will be creating more job opportunities to the youths. I am also intending to open a cyber cafe aĺong side my current bussiness. It will boost my income and help me expand. My monthly income varies depending on the supplies. If I get more tenders the income ranges between 40 thousand to 60 thousand. That is the net profit after all the deductions and salaries. But when the business is low net profit is 20 thousand to 40 thousand a month. I have a business account with Diamond Trust Bank Kakamega branch. I make sure that I do banking daily to atleast have some savings for emergency incase I get an abrupt order to supply something. I am looking forward to getting a larger amount from here which am sure will really boost the business. Looking forward to doing more business with you. There are many obstacles in business but the major obstacle is finance. Without funds you cant get stock hence cant be able to run the business effectively. Competition is another obstacle which needs to be considered in every business. You have to know your strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to enable the business move smoothly. My Business

Printing business isnver lucrative when ventured into with proper planning..Right now many people have joined the printing business some even do it in their homes. Devolution has also helped my business alot because county government is working hand in hand with small scall entrepreneurs by giving them tenders..I have done several jobs for the county government..
