About Me

MY STORY
I am Joseph Munene 29 years old married with one child.I live at Ndwaru Road off Naivasha Road in Dagoretti.Professionally I am a teacher and proprietor at the New Dream Educational Centre.I went to Endarasha High school and left in 2002 with a very good grade but could not join university because of finances. Before I joined college I worked in the informal sector(jua kali sector employed to sell charcoal at Kawangware 56).I was able to save funds to pay for my college education. In 2007 I joined Migori TTC where I graduated with a P1 Certificate in 2009.
After that I joined the education sector working in different private primary schools as a teacher.I gained a lot of professionalism and always wished to own my school'
Fortunately an opportunity came beckoning. There was a non-profit school that had been dissolved.I quickly paid rent and negotiated some stationery and furniture from the vacating management.I acquired them on leasehold.
I love soccer and basketball.I am also an ardent fun of business documentaries.I also read novels on weekends.
I have come from very far to one time being employed in a charcoal store.I am not relenting on my dreams of owning a chain of renowned universities.I am convinced beyond any reasonable doubt that Zidisha lenders and community will walk with me to reach the sky-its my limit

My Business

My business kicked off on the 6th 0f Jan 2014 with 37 children and 6 members of staff.Currently there are 78 pupils and 13 members of staff. This rapid increase has been brought about by having a young workforce which is dedicated to ensure efficient, effective and appropriate curriculum content has been delivered to the pupils. This has resonated brilliantly with the community reciprocating in more enrollment of pupils.
Risks and challenges are inevitable.Currently
1.There no funds to cater for marketing during the August holidays. This entails brochures and paint to change the face of the school(previously it has been used on a horrible state to compromise donations)
2.There is no foodstuffs in our store. We are forced to retail buy which is not only in-effective but also a threat to expansion.
3.Lack of sustainable funds for the staff. Its a threat bearing in mind they are the pillar to my success.
4.Lack of school van in order to widen my market base.
5.Lack of funds to help build more swings for the preparatory children and purchase baby related fun equipment.
The business is very profitable as long as the pupils increase in roll.
Servicing of the loan will be done by fee collection from the pupils.

Loan Proposal

I am very grateful with the first loan.I would like to request my lenders to fund me again this time still to help in production of more brochures to be distributed to potential parents over the December holidays.Last August I was grateful because I was able to admit four more pupils who had received the brochures.I have identified the mistake I did concerning repayment but now I am wiser.I am sure my credit limit will go up the next time I complete this one.My school is still growing and I am confident beyond words that Zidisha lenders will be part of this journey.
