About Me

My name is Martin Asante and I am 43 years old. I live in Ghana with my wife and children, i belong to a Christian family of four, two men and two women, and i am the last born. I completed senior secondary school and decided to face life early and never be poor in life. I am currently working with the Johns Hopkins University center for communications program as an NGO project driver, I don't want to put my eggs inside one basket so i decided to do a personal transport business because NGO work is not permanent at times it ends whiles there is no job vacancy so i decided to do private transport business attached so that i can be in employment all the time. Transport business in Ghana is very lucrative that is why i have passion in it so that i can take care of my children education and give them a better future.

My Business

I do private transport business in Ghana, co- operate people love to patronize it because of comfort, and privacy as compare to the commercial type of transport. There is high demand for it especially when there are activities in town through that i make money and make profit. I used some of my profit to put my vehicle in good working condition so that it can be working all the time and also save some. Recently the Engine became weak and the gearbox and the back axle were malfunctioning so all effort to get a loan to fix it became futile so i started checking on the internet whether i can get an online loan before i got in touch with zidisha.I believe with the assurance and condition zidisha has put in place with prompt or timely repayment of my loans my business will reach far. I have chain of businesses in mind, eg expanding my wife's provision store, Mobile Money business and selling scratch cards as well. I believe doing business with zidisha my dream will come true, i also thank the management, Directors and Lenders all over the world for extending a helping hands to help the less privilege people like me.

Project Proposal

I do private business with my vehicle aside my official work,so if my loan is approved, I will use the funds to do maintenence on the vehicle because most of our roads are not tarred so it has affected my shocks and my suspension, so I need to replace them immediately so that I can get the car back on the road strong and work to repay my loan.

    Dear Lenders,
its unfortunate that i could not do my weekly payment because i was not feeling well and could neither go to work nor even look at my phone. By the grace of God i am getting better now so i was able to pay all that i could not pay the previous weeks
This loan that i received has help me a lot, because i was struggling to connect my house with electricity so the loan i received from zidisha has enable me to get a stable electricity connection to my house.
It has also help my children to get constant light to do their home work, i have fridge to store food, in fact my environment has been illuminated,i no longer lives in darkness.
Thanks so much to my able lenders,my supporters,Zidisha team for supporting me when i needed help.

    Dear Lenders,
I hope you are all doing well?.
I was unable to do payment last week because I was indisposed and was admitted at the hospital because of that all efforts to do my payment became impossible, I was weak and speechless and couldn't do anything.
Lenders if you look at my track record anything like this has never happened before but in this case who am I, I tried my best but i think hospital is the best place to solve it once for all.
Now that I have been discharged from the hospital, I will do the payment together with the current one before this week will end.
Lenders if this will disqualified me in my next proposal kindly bear with me.
Thank you so much for your patience.

    Good morning Lenders,
Another week has come and I have fulfilled all righteousness by paying in the amount I am suppose to pay every week.
I made a point in my earlier comments that when the engineer fix the meter I will take a picture and post it on to the platform. The meter has been fix finally.
Work is still in progress, because he has started fixing some areas with bulbs, which I will also take a picture and show you when that is also done.
Work has started at the fuse box area so that if there is an electrical problem the fuse can go off.
I am very happy for the support given me by all of you because now my family can watch TV, do their home work, they can store food in the refrigerator, they can iron their dress to school.
Zidisha has really changed my life and has taken some stress from me. As you have supported me,may you also be supported as well.
    Thank you very much.
