About Me

My name is Lovat Owusu, i am twenty eighty-years (28) and i am the second born in a family of seven. I grew up in Pomadzie a suburb of Winneba in the central Region of Ghana. I attended Roman Catholic basic school and furthered to Winneba senior high school and completed in 2009. My parents are Mr. Michael Owusu and Mrs. Beatrice Serwaa. The food i enjoy much is kenkey and fried fish and i sometimes play football with my friends on weekend.

My Business

I started hawking in the University of Education, Winneba campus exactly four months after i have completed senior high school in 2009. I used to sell pens, pencils, notepads, erasers, rulers and more items that the students needed. After selling in the University premises for about two years, i was able to purchase a metal container (kiosk) near the University. I was not able to stock the kiosk immediately i bought it because i had no money left on me so i kept selling in the University campus though it was prohibited. After few years selling in the University, i was able to hakf fill my shop and started working in it though sales in there was not as good as hawking in the university. I sell provisions like mackerels, soap and washing powders, biscuits, milk, fruit drinks, sugar, and few stationeries like pens, pencils, notebooks and exercise books, sketch pad, ruler, chalk and some more items that are useful to the students and non students in the community. I am able to earn profit in my work which i use to support my younger siblings in their education.

Loan Proposal

Dear lenders i wish to apply for a loan of $200 to stock my provision shop. When i am given this loan, i will use it to buy more items needed by my customers in addition to my existing stock. I will buy items like mackerels, milk, biscuits, soap and washing powder, toffees, can tomatoes and many more. I will also fill my shop with few stationeries to meet the needs of the students and non students in the community. If i am fortunate to receive this loan, it will help me sell and meet the demands of my customers and also increase my profit margin by 35% so my lenders help stock my shop and increase my profit margin and I promise to repay regularly, Thank you .
