I was brought up in a poor background. Went to primary school and through bursaries completed my secondary level. After school i did some hand jobs to obtain money to take care of myself, help my family and some to pay for my college fees. I ventured in motorcycle transport business (boda boda) services. Am single and like playing football during my free time.
I do motorcycle transport business services (boda boda) as it is in demand due to lack of access to public transports to homes. Less capital is required to start the business which in return has favorable profits. Revenue per month can be estimated to USD 100 and costs per month USD 30. The profits are used in reinvestment in growing the business and part to cater for my college fees and some home improvements.
I need the loan to buy spares for my motorbike like front and rear tyres, new engine block, new seat cover and steering which may cost USD 150. I also expect to buy another motorbike as customers have increased and hence high demand. A new motorbike can be estimated at USD 1100 inclusive municipal charges and insurance fees for a calendar year. As the loan increases I opt to own more motor bikes so as to create large market hence to increase income. When there is enough capital am willing to start a motor bike spare part shop which will cater for the needs of motorbikes.
