My name is Japheth, My parents passed away when I was young and I had to move into a local children home which supported me with all my basic needs till I completed secondary school then also supported me to acquire welding training as well as start the welding business which I am running.
My dreams for the future is to expand my business and also offering training opportunity to local young people so that our community can be developed.
Onestone Welding Enterprise involves making customized iron items such as doors, windows, gates, beds and chairs. I started the business after successfully completing the welding training. I decided to venture into this business because I loved the job as my father used to work as a welder and also I had the passion for using my hands to develop items. In a good month my profits ranges between $120 - $180 depending on the demand. I use my profits to cater for my family and expand the business. My biggest challenge is lack of equipments and tools to enable me make professional items for my customers. My customers are individuals who are doing construction as well as institutions such as schools and churches. My goals for my business is to expand and introduce training opportunity for local young people. Am proud of the good relationship I have with local people thus they give me orders or refer people to my business.
I intend to use zidisha loan plus my savings to buy hand grinder which costs $ 125.18. The new equipment will assist me to make professional items thus meeting customers demand which will contribute to high profit. I will use part of the profit to expand my business by buying more equipments hence creating opportunity to the local people. I will also support my wife business to expand and provide better life for my family.
