About Me

My names are mercy Ndwiga,I was born in Embu county,in manyatta division, kibogo village.
I started my education at kibogo primary school and attained a B plain, then I joined ngoviu secondary school and attained a C+,then I stayed for 3 years just helping my parents at home because there was no money for me to continue to college ,then I decided to go to the city with my cousin who by then was working in a company,I got a job earning 3000 less per month, while working I got married to my husband of whom we were working together,We were blessed with 2 beautiful daughters.
During this time life became so difficult because stopped working to take care of my children and my husband was earning little money which will not cater for our needs as a family, therefore I decided to start a small business of selling cakes near the road where I was staying,I continued step by step until I got some money to buy small machines to make cakes and sell up to date,I use my profit to improve my bakery and do so investment at home.

My Business

As I have mentioned above things were not going well when I got married, also due to low income that we were getting was very low, this is the time I decided that I rather do something to to help my husband to generate some more income to push us forward,I started buying some cakes from kayole wholesale and selling them in donholm,I did this for 6 years until I got I shop in donholm phase 8 where I was selling from,My husband gave my some to buy a small machine to start making cakes in my shop and selling them to my customers at a wholesale price, one day I was introduced to zidisha with my friend then I started expanding my bakery which right now is a big bakery situated in Nairobi city near kayole junction up to date.

Loan Proposal

First let me take this opportunity to thank you my lenders and zidisha team in general for supporting me up to this time,if were not you sincerely I wouldn't have moved this far.
Again this time I come to you my lenders to request you to fund my project proposal as I have started above, just to inform you that last time you funded my project whereby you my lenders you gave me 40000 kes to purchase a motor for my oven machine, now the machine is ok,
Due to increased demand of my customers am not able to carry enough cakes to satisfy my customers and also to deliver them on time , also for me to reach more schools and churches who are my many consumers I have noted that I really need a car to do the job convenient.i have already done research on the price of cars,My friend agreed to sell to me a car which is on a good condition at 400000kes ,the loan requested 178000kes,the I will add 222000kes from my profit savings.
please my try to find time to look at my loan proposal and fund my project,Thanks in advance.
