About Me

My name is Charity Tabea. I live in Abesim in the Brong Ahafo region. I have four sisters and three brothers. I am the fourth born of my parents. Life became difficult for my mother to take care of us since my daddy left her to marry another woman. My dad is a farmer so my mother was with him in a village farming until he left my mummy to be remarried to another woman. My mom has to struggle in taking care of us. Mummy managed to let me complete senior high school, after which I learnt a trade, that is, hairdressing. I have completed it and I do work and pay with my master. I want to own my shop at some time to come so I want to do extra work in order to increase my savings.

A friend of mine has introduced me to the mushroom business which I want to start. What I enjoy doing is cooking my local dishes, such as fufu and banku.

My Business

Currently, I don't have any shop myself. I work with my master. She pays me on a commission basis that is one fourth of the number of customers I attend to. The place is very busy and we get a lot of customers.

I want to add a mushroom business to what I am currently doing. Demand for mushrooms is so high. This is the main reason I want to start this business. I will be able to support my mother in taking care of my younger siblings if I am able to save more.

Loan Proposal

I used my previous loan for a construction of a structure.though the amount wasn't enough I managed to top-up with my personal savings . with this amount when granted I will start with my Mushroom business.with an amount of Ghs1409,I will be able to purchase 800bags of Mushrooms.all things being equal I expect an increase in profit of at least 50percent since demand for mushrooms are high in my area.i will be able to pay back my loan with ease and also help my mum in taking care of my other siblings.
