My name is Martin Ngulube. I am a farmer of Lusaka's Makeni farming block.
I worked for many years in the Zambia Railways as a senior Police Officer in Kafue district. I now live on my farm in Makeni area.
My business is growing and selling vegetables and fish.
I plant different types of crops on my farm, ranging from tomatoes and chillies. I sell these vegetables to marketeers and individuals. I also grow fish in my newly constructed fish ponds. I sell the fish at the markets in Lusaka.
I plan to use the loan to purchase 10 bags of fish feed for the fish which are ready to be harvested in about 3 weeks. The fish are growing in three ponds of size 30m x 25m.
The feed would be purchased from one of the local shops in my area, so I do not have to spend much on transportation. The feed would be stored in my shed.
The fish business is doing well in my area with many fish farmers selling their fish at the local markets. I have already received orders from the fish mongers and shops in my area to purchase my fish when they are ready to be sold.
