About Me

I am a student at Kenya Aeronautical College. I currently run a photocopying, typing and photo processing business targeting my college mates. I hail from a family of three children. During the holidays I normally travel home to monitor other family businesses, as I am in my final year in my undertaking of an aviation course. Having a younger sister in high school, it becomes straining for my parents to pay all the fees and still provide for our personal needs hence my idea of running a business to supplement to my personal needs and still to keep me occupied, and to help me keep in touch with the outside world.

My Business

I currently run a small photocopying, typesetting and printing business targeting my college mates. There has always been a high demand for these services among students who have always been required to photocopy various handouts and examinations received from various lecturers. Also, there has been demand for typesetting of project contents for pre graduate and post graduate students. I have kept an healthy relationship with my college mates by meeting their demands within specific timeframes hence ensuring that such services are delivered on time and at pocket friendly prices through discounts on bulky photocopying and typesetting services this has led to profits and has given me an advantage over my competitors. I do make in a month average sales revenue of 12,000 shillings of which 6,000 shillings go to costs and plough back 3000 shillings to the business. This loan will help me acquire a more reliable and cost efficient photocopying machine and a high definition camera that will assist me deliver quality services.
