About Me

I am a young ambitious IT professional in Nairobi-Kenya, with a Certificate in Computer studies from a local college. I opened a cyber café in Nairobi’s Umoja estate in August 2013 after finishing my studies since this has always been my dream to become a great entrepreneur. Over the years, the growth of the business has been encouraging and I am positive I will realize greater success, especially with the support I am getting from the Zidisha community. After my start-up, people from the neighborhood stopped commuting to town for the services.

My Business

My business offers internet services, computer services, photocopying, printing, scanning, lamination, Face book / Email account registration, KRA PIN registration and document binding to the general public. The business is good especially with the encouragement from the government to embrace ICT as a key factor to development. I chose this kind of business because on top of being an IT professional, I have the passion to venture into entrepreneurship and also contribute positively to the growth of the Kenyan economy.

Loan Proposal

Zidisha is the best thing that ever happened to me. With the previous funding, I was able to increase my revenue by 30% last month after adding an extra computer, a lamination and bidding machines in my cyber.
Kindly fund my second loan so that i can afford to buy a bigger capacity photocopier since the one i have currently is small and doesn't have the capacity to handle large volumes of copies. I have started getting orders from schools and churches meaning capacity to handle the ever increasing demand from my customers will increase my revenue double fold. Total cost of a photocopier is USD 390.
The business generates between USD10 - 15 per day and my expenses are minimal (rent USD60 per Month, and Electricity bill USD10 per month). On average, I make around USD250 - USD300 per month and I believe, with a little more capital, I can even make USD500 per month.
I will use some of the profits generated to service my loan and a small amount to meet my personal endeavors.
