About Me

Mercy Muthoni Njuguna are my names.I am a christian faithful,a wife to Mr.Mburu,a mother of two kids,a girl and a boy(Precious & Martin) and they are in lower class,3 &1 respectively at a nearby local school.
I am a hardworking business woman working in agriculture fields and I am specialized in strawberry farming as my means of income to cater for my family and for my children's future life.
My hobbies includes,swimming,attending farming open days,reading agricultural journals,mingling new pals,helping the needy.

My Business

My main means of income is doing farming/agriculture for an income.I have a quarter piece of land measuring 100 by 100.I am the real owner of this plot and I have been cultivating /planting strawberries through out the season.I preferred strawberry farming for the reason that it does need much attention,it takes less time to maturity,ready market,and of course good profit.
I usually have a seed bed where set it for the seedling and later transplant immediately I harvest my last batch for market.My main customers are the supermarkets,big hotels in town as well as my villagers.
The secret with this farming is that during trans-planting,I usually plant with organic fertilizer which is best for the good yields and the sweetness of the fruit.This has made my farming business to be one of my passions I have ever met.Thank God for the discovery of the lending fraternity called Zidisha,which I am praying that they finance me to buy more seedlings,herbicides and organic fertilizer to enable me cultivate more space for the next planting season.The demand is very high and I am anticipating to have a bigger space for my next planting,so that I can meet the high demand from my customers.

Loan Proposal

I am praying that the Zidisha team to finance me with a loan to buy more seedlings,herbicides and organic fertilizer to enable me cultivate more space for the next planting season.The items will be as follows:-
(1)500 grams strawberry Seeds at a cost of=5,200
(2)Herbicides from Syngenta company at a cost of=1,500
(3)35 kgs Organic fertilizer at a cost of=3,500
(4)1 Laborer at a cost of =600
