About Me

I am Onyango John Kaseme, a Kenyan citizen aged 37 years old. I am the 1st born in a family of 9 (1 girl and 8 boys). I was brought up from a humble background with lots of life challenges pertaining access to basic needs like education, food and medical.

My father was a forester and I learn't environmental management techniques especially tree seedlings preservation and planting from him as he worked in the Goverment Tree Seedlings Scheme in Mbita. I successfully did my secondary education and joined Environmental Management College where I studied Botany. Upon completion of my college education, I got married and ventured in tree nursery business. I love beautification of environment(landscaping) and improving forest cover in order to combat climate change.

I like playing football when am free to break the boredom and monotony of my activity as well as relieving my minds from stress to expound my critical thinking pertaining on my area of specialization

My Business

I started tree nursery business six months ago, the business has been so well and I have started to get a very good and reliable clients base.

Basically I focus myself in provision of seedlings of different varieties for afforestation and landscaping to various sectors including local public primary schools and churches. During the rainy seasons I normally go round to asses the progress of my goods at various places

From my tree nursery I sell upto 800 trees on average per day . This amounts to a monthly income of KES 25,000. I have many customers because I have the best of what they need. I put alot of effort in my work , moreso sell to them indigenous trees which are in great demand. I water the seedlings with the water I pump directly from Lake Victoria . Repaying the loan will be easy for me because in the same piece of land i grow maize of my own while during dry season we harvest dry them and sell.
