I AM A FORMER STUDENT OF EGERTON UNIVERSITY AND A CRE AND HISTORY TUTOR IN A LOCAL TEACHER'S TRAINING COLLEGE. I AM 24 YEARS OF AGE AND AN ENTREPRENEUR. I HAVE LIVED A BIG PART OF MY LIFE IN WESTERN AND ONLY MOVED WHEN I JOINED CAMPUS. BEING THE FIRST BORN IN A FAMILY OF FOUR, I HAVE LEARNT TO BEAR THE RESPONSIBILITY OF PROVIDING FOR MY FAMILY. I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO PAY MY UNIVERSITY FEE THROUGH OFFERING CREATIVE BARBERING SERVICES BOTH AT SCHOOL AND OUTSIDE. SINCE RIGHT NOW AM TUTORING MOST OF THE TIME, I HAVE HAD TO FIND A HELPER IN MY SHOP. AT TIMES I GET TENDERS TO SHAVE PUPILS IN LOCAL SCHOOLS AROUND BAHATI AREA AND THIS HAS BEEN OF GREAT HELP FINANCIALLY. APART FROM WATCHING INTERNATIONAL FOOTBALL, I ALSO ENJOY ACTING IN LOCAL PLAYS. MY PURPOSE OF ASKING FOR A LOAN IS BECAUSE I NEED TO HIRE 2 MORE PEOPLE TO HELP ME FULFIL THE TENDERS OF SHAVING PUPILS IN THESE SCHOOLS AND WITH THIS EXPANSION, I WILL BE ABLE TO PAY FEES FOR MY SIBLINGS AND PAY MY EMPLOYEES TOO.

MY TUTORING JOB GIVES ME A BASIC OF 225 DOLLARS P.M.FROM THE BARBER SHOP AND THE TENDERS, I EARN A BASIC OF 320DOLLARS. MY RENT IS QUITE AFFORDABLE AND THE ELECTRICITY COSTS AROUND 25DOLLARS. I ALSO PAY MY EMPLOYEE A BASIC OF 100DOLLARS AND COMMISIONS WHERE THEY APPLY. A LOAN WILL HELP ME BUY 3 MORE MACHINES AND TWO MORE CHAIRS SINCE MY CLIENTS ARE ALSO INCREASING. MY MAIN STRENGTH IS FROM THE RELATIONSHIP I HAVE BUILT WITH THE HEADS OF THESE SCHOOLS FOR THEM TO ENTRUST ME TO SHAVE THEIR STUDENTS

my intention is simple and clear. instead of waiting for the client to come to me,i am taking the services to schools. i have won tenders to shave pupils in five schools. i will be doing this thrice a month in each school and therefore i need to hire help. this means buying more machines,aftershaves,towels,disinfectants among other necessary equipment. the machines that i need are likely to cost me 90dollars while the rest of the money will be used for transport and buying the other things.
