About Me

MY NAME IS KENNETH OSIMBO BUYEKA. i am from a family of eight ; i.e three brothers and five sisters. i live in Kenya at Nakuru adjacent to Bahati-Karunga. i started my primary education at st. lwanga primary school and later joined Kiamaina Secondary school for my secondary level. i later joined Weaver College Thika where i enrolled a Certificate in Computer Application Packages. after completing my college in certificate, i got employed at St. Lwanga primary school for a period of one year. i saved a small amount of money and and asked my parents to help with an idea; after deliberations, i started a small computer service business where i owned one computer and a printer i addition of a laminator. i did all this to help my family and support the living of my parents who are growing old. the small interest i get from my business i use it to support my brothers who are in college and also to cater for my living go ahead.

My Business

my daily income from my business do vary in that i can earn differently according to how many customers do present their work. i do deal with computer services such as computer typesetting, lamination, binding, printing, instant passports and cyber cafe. my customers prefer my business because the services i do offer to them is efficient and affordable compared to other competitors. this has enabled me to keep up my business. The higher risks that i do face in my business is when there are new machines in the market and am not able to go for them, also when the season changes, the job gets down thus making me to have some difficulties due to low profits generation, but this usually happens for only a short time and not always. another risk is the problems of power surges which do destroy my machines time to time thus making me to drain all what i had saved to purchase new machines to cater for my customers and business progression. but i have now invented a way out in solving the issue of power surges. I have managed to buy UPS to curb up the problem of power surges.

Loan Proposal

My business is growing rapidly, the Nakuru Bahati area is developing with high rate too. So many people have started institutions and organizations to educate and cater for the people interested in changing their lives. so the photocopy and cyber business is picking and growing up rapidly. this is because many students are given research projects, and they cannot handover without typing and also making photocopies for their file copy. so the business i do has a greater impact on their academic level. i usually have a busy time typsetting and photocopying and also lamination, browsing also is so high especially while students or people around want to send or such for something over the internet. Thats how my business has been, and am grateful if given another loan to add one more copier to reduce workload and also to employ one skilled person. thank you so much Zidisha lenders. God bless you
