About Me

My name is Rebecca. I am married with two children - a boy and a girl who are now in school. I was born and raised near Nairobi which is the capital city of Kenya. I grew up in a semi-urban set up and I did my school up to secondary school.

I later did a short course in hair care a beauty. I got jobs on short contracts and later with the help of my husband, started a beauty salon. I do hair work and I also sell beauty products such as hair pieces and body lotions.

One of my children would like to be a teacher and the other one a doctor when they grow up. I work very hard to bring their dreams into reality.

My Business

My work entails hair care for women as well as sales of beauty products. I mostly serve the working people such as teachers, office workers who work around my area. I am usually busy over the weekends when most of clients have time for beauty work.

I do make around $150 per month and I use $45 for over heads. I then spend the remaining balance to cater for my family expenses such as food and clothing. I hope to move my business to a bigger place once I get good money.

Loan Proposal

Like the previous loans, I will use the entire amount to buy more stock of beauty products. My business has been doing well since I joined Zidisha and I want to leverage on this facility to keep growing.

I will buy lotions, human hair, artificial nails and other assorted beauty items to stock my beauty shop. This way my clients will be happier and they will hopefully bring new ones to my shop.

I am optimistic that with your support, my business will keep growing.
