Ever since my child hood ave always had a passion for keeping chickens. The hobby started while I was still young and my first chick that I kept was the one I received from my grandmother when I traveled up country to visit her .The fact that it started laying eggs which later hatched to chicks was what motivated me even more to start the business of chicken rearing. From then I would buy small chicks and take Care of them until they are old enough to be sold.
My business is that of keeping chickens for sale and my chickens are specifically the traditional ones.Ave been keeping them for about five years now and the income received has really helped me sastain my expenses. The chickens that I keep Is normally targeted to be sold during festivities because at that period its when the demand is normally high hence high returns.I chose this business because of two major reasons the first one being a hobby while the second one was the fact that there is usually unmet demand of chicken during the festivities. The cost which I usually incur are those associated with the food for the chickens, their medicine, water expenses.on the other hand the revenues that I get is normally from the sale of chicken and the eggs .lastly the profits received I usually reinvest it back to the business for expansion purposes.
Once I receive the loan I will buy 6 chickens which are fully grown at sh.800 each.I will also buy the food that will cost sh.3000 that will be able to sustain them until the festivities when I will sell them at a higher price. The remaining amount I will keep for any emergency. The profit gained After selling the chickens at 1500 each I will use it to start paying back the loan
