About Me

I was born and bred in Londiani, then called Kericho District. I went to Sugutek Primary school for my primary school education where I sat for KCPE exams in 2001 and scored 353 out of 500. I was the leading student in my class in the Exam. I proceeded to Kericho High School For my secondary school education in 2002. I sat for my KCSE examinations and scored A-(minus). I was the third best student in the exam. I then proceeded to Moi university in 2007 to pursue Bachelor of science- Applied statistics With Computing. I graduated with Second Class Honors Upper Division in 2011. I joined University of Eldoret for my postgraduate studies MSc Biostatistics in 2012, which I am to graduate in the year 2015- I have completed research work.
The journey of my life has not been a bed of roses. I have passed through challenges in raising funds for my education. My parents being small-scale farmers, it called for patience and hard work to finish my studies. I engaged myself in small businesses to help my parents raise money for my education. Most notable is that during my senior years in the university, I operated a food kiosk that used to do well as it could pay for my fees as well as my siblings’, I appreciate the venture since it enabled me to complete my undergraduate studies and helped me to enrol for my postgraduate studies.
After completing undergraduate studies, I tried to get a formal employment but the I ended up with none. I had enough money from the previous venture to enrol for a postgraduate course, as I am enthusiastic about knowledge acquisition. I am passionate about research. I took a gamble on the money and enrolled for the course, paid the fees for the first year. A friend had introduced me to the freelancer.com platform and advised me it will help me cater for my upkeep as I look for other opportunities. I started as a freelance academic writer and data analyst, but after sometime I chose to be freelance data analyst since it conformed to my area of education. I earned good reputation with my clients and soon I was getting bulk analysis work. I chose to employ some three fresh graduates on per task basis to help ease the bulk. It became a good and promising business.
I grew in a place where people are hospitable and have high regard towards family and educating the children. I have a society that value success and motivates me to work harder. My village- Sugutek has particularly become an area to be reckoned with in term of academic success. I am hoping to get married one day and tech my children to be humble, honest, hospitable and hardworking.
At my past time I read a lot on inspirational books and the Bible. I find many new ideas in great men and women who have documented their experiences. It gives me a lot of inspiration to know that these people passed through challenges similar to mine on their way to becoming successful. I also love watching soccer, I am a supporter of Arsenal an English Football club.

My Business

I am a fulltime freelance data analyst working on the www.freelancer.com. Starting in the year 2011 just after graduating for my Undergraduate studies, it was challenging to get an employment, so a friend introduced me to the freelancer platform. I started working alone, but with time I gained reputation and I got wider client base, I had to employ some people to assist. The jobs entails data management and analysis for market research companies and individuals across the globe. On minimum, I get analysis ranging from 20usd to 200usd per week on peak seasons. Once we deliver on the tasks, the clients confirms the work is right to the specifications and pays for the job. Over time I have developed good working relationships with some clients who give me constant work. The initial challenge was that during peak seasons, I had huge workload, and since I did not have a centralised place to manage my writers, it became an issue to deliver the tasks on time. I therefore stated a small office and set up a workstation so that my writers work onsite and since I have provided fulltime internet connection in the office; my writers are comfortable and have since delivered the task on time. Challenge currently is that, the payments delays sometimes and I find hard tome especially in low season to manage the office bills and pay the writers on time. I ideally prefer paying the writers at least a little amount so that they feel motivated after they deliver on the tasks and wait for the clients to pay. Therefore, when the clients delay to pay on their end, my writers delay in receiving their payments as well as the bugging operational costs. Overall, the business is lucrative and I find it very promising as it helps me to grow financially and help others to gain employment. I seek Zidisha loan to help me buffer the operational costs especially the rent and other miscellaneous bills to ensure smooth operations in the office. I look forward to growing with you. The proceeds have been helpful in paying for my postgraduate studies as well as paying for fees for my two siblings who are almost finishing their Undergraduate studies in Kenyan Universities. I also intend to start a private firm in the year 2015 that deals in research consultancy, from the proceeds of the business. Thank you and God bless you.

Loan Proposal

The loan will be used to assist in the payment of office operations; Rent 100 USD, Internet bills: 20UD. This will help in timely payment of the bills and allow the office operation to run smoothly. This will allow e to save some money to pay the writers as the frequent payments from the clients happen around mid of every month. I also expect that my writers will be satisfied and deliver more.
