About Me

I am a male Kenyan aged 38yrs from humble family background, I struggled going to school, but with God’s grace managed to complete high school. I went to various colleges through sponsorship graduated in Diploma in Computer Graphics Design, I am also trained in Life Skills, HIV/ AIDS counseling, testing & management.
I have worked in various organizations and group in different capacities mostly as a volunteer, thereby gained a lot of experience.
Am married to one lovely wife and have been blessed with two children both in Primary School. Currently, I reside at Uhanya beach and operate a Cyber Café, also offering computer service.

My Business

I started my computer business in 2008, with a small capital from my savings I just had one computer, I learned to be patient and the business has grown to a small cyber cafe’. Though am grateful for my progress so far, my vision is for the business to grow to a computer college, and I believe with your financial support I can achieve my goal.
The major challenge in this area is unreliable electricity, we often experience power outages thus disappointing clients, I will buy a power generator which will help in continuation of the business even when there is no electricity. However I have a long term plans of installing solar system.
Due globalization many people use internet service for communication and social networking hence the high demand for reliable and sustainable internet services.
I earn an average sale of $343 I pay bills worth $177 this leaves me with a gross profit of $166. I then take 25% for emergency and expanding the business. The balance $124.5 is my average Net profit.
I use this profit to take care of my family, paying my children’s school fees and providing basic necessities. With proper funding I would expand the business, meet my customers demand, by increasing computer illiteracy level in training many people. Hence increasing the number who will join Zidisha as well.

Loan Proposal

I have made big strides since I got my fist loan from Zidisha, now my business is doing well and as a result I have started refurbishing the cyber café. I want to put up two more computers fix better comfortable chairs, install an office fan for ventilation and background music. The total cost of the work will be $405 but I have some savings from the business which is going to supplement.
I will attract many clients by the new look cyber café as people prefer browsing in a comfort environment, with low background music. The increased customers will eventually demand more computers and that is why i am putting up additional computes. I am looking forward to improved revenue thus being more comfortable in repaying the loan.
