About Me

My name is Fanta Dabo. I am from Guinea but have lived in Burkina Faso for 7 years, during which time I have been married to Mr. Ouilly Issoufou. We have 3 children, of which 2 are boys and 1 is a girl. To help out my husband with household expenses, I have opened a restaurant. The name of my restaurant is “Quick-Food”, which sells African cuisine. The restaurant is located in Bendogo. I make enough with the restaurant to take care of part of my needs and to send money to my parents, who live in Guinea. With the money from the Zidisha loans, I am planning on growing my business.

My Business

Every day, Quick-Food offers a variety of dishes: tô, rice with sauce, rice with fat, spaghetti, foutou, fries (chips), fish soup, chicken soup, pan-fried chicken, beef tongue, and kidney. I add more dishes as demand dictates. Cleanliness, a welcoming atmosphere, the style of the restaurant, and the flavor of my dishes are my main competitive advantages. I make about 250 000F to 300 000F in revenue. After deducting expenses, I retain about 50 000F to 100 000F. With this first loan from Zidisha, I will make the restaurant’s appearance more attractive to gain more customers. Thank you in advance, Zidisha.

Loan Proposal

With this second loan, I am planning to increase the seating capacity of my restaurant by enlarging the space. I struck a deal with my neighbor, who gave me their space. Therefore I am going to order some wood and plywood for 40.000 ; this includes labor, arranging the boards to make a fence, and making the space more attractive. I am going to put in climbing plants all around the fencing to freshen up the surrounding area. Very soon the Haramattan will arrive in Burkina Faso with its great warmth. Spaces that are cool and refreshing attract more customers.

Je m'appelle DABO Fanta, je suis de nationalité guinéenne mais je vis au Burkina Faso depuis sept (7) ans où je suis mariée à Monsieur Ouilly Issoufou. Nous avons 3 enfants, deux garçons et une fille. Afin d'aider mon mari dans les charges ménagères, je fais de la restauration. Chaque jour, le restaurant QUICK FOOD propose des plats divers aux clients: tô, riz sauce, riz gras, spaghetti, foutou, alloco, frites, soupe de poisson, soupe de poulet, poulet sauté, langue de bœuf, rognons. Je diversifie les plats en fonction de la demande. la propreté, l'accueil, le cadre et le goût de mes plats sont mes principaux atouts face à la concurrence.Mon chiffre d'affaire est de 250.000F à 300.000F. après déductions des charges, je m'en tire souvent avec 50.000F à 100.000F. Loan Proposal

Avec ce deuxième prêt, je compte renforcer la capacité d'accueil de mon restaurant en élargissant le cadre. j'ai déjà négocié l'espace avec mon voisin qui me l'a accordé. Je vais donc commander du bois et du contreplaqué à hauteur de 40.000 y compris la main d'oeuvre, faire confectionner des lattes pour en faire une clôture et rendre le cadre plus agréable. Je vais aussi planter des plantes grimpantes tout autour pour rafraîchir l'air tout autour. C'est bientôt l'harmattan au Burkina avec sa grande chaleur. les cadres frais attirent plus de clients.
