About Me

Am 26years old, i live in nyayo embakasi in Nairobi Kenya. Iam the third born in a family of five 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Professionally am a certified accountant; i have always loved to be in control of my finances and time this is what led me to start my businesses contrary to looking for a job, am also a firm believer in working smart and hard this makes me to be in constant look out for any new creative ideas that can help better my businesses. During my free time i love to watch my local soccer team play and when indoors i love to paint nature it helps me relax better. whenever finances and time allow i love to take part in any community services available as its self fulfilling for me to know i have helped improve the lives of the unfortunate.

My Business

I Run two businesses a boutique that sells ladies clothes and an accounting firm that specializes in book keeping and auditing for small businesses. The boutique is more profitable but faces stiff competition thus one has to always be on the look out for any changes in fashion and prices. I buy the goods from turkey, china or Dubai, and sell in Kenya in wholesale. the shipment normally come via sea thus it takes approximately 3 weeks this means on average one can sell one shipment in three months. The profits varies with the costs and any other incentive you decide to offer to win more clients e.g free delivery but on average per shipment we get between 500-600usd.
The accounting firm looks more stable but with less returns. its major challenge is lack of enough capital to employ more human resource. Since iam the only employee i have to juggle between marketing and doing the job.On a good month it makes a profit of 170usd.

Loan Proposal

First of all i must say thanks to zidisha for my first loan which helped me a lot in expanding my boutique shop and also do some advertising to improve sales.
Am now back requesting for another loan; this time my major intention is to use the loan for renovation. As we all know we are approaching December a very busy month in fashion industry and it thought its wise i ensure my boutique looks presentable and unique to my customers. Its also a rainy season in Kenya and i have to repair some damages as a result of heavy rains.
Its my request that the loan application be funded in time to help me clear he renovations early enough as we are already in the peak season. I also promise to be upto date and timely with my repayments unlike the last loan which had some hitches caused by unavoidable reasons. i understand this will also help me qualify for a higher loan next time.
Thanks in advance and may God bless you and God bless zidisha.
