I have had many forms of education but the best education I have enjoyed is my apprenticeship as a goldsmith. I was under apprenticeship for five years and I gained vast knowledge and experience in the craft of jewellery making. In my years of studying I made it a point to save an amount of 5 GHS each day for every month to help me buy most of the tools I could afford. Once I was done with the apprenticeship,I had enough tools to start a small jewellery shop in my neighborhood. I live with my parents and four siblings. I think it's time to move out, to be responsible for myself. I have lived with my parents my entire life and I welcome this new chapter with a lot of excitement.
My area of business is goldsmithing and jewellery making. I chose this area of business because people of the past and this present day like to accessorize and adorn their bodies with jewellery.
In making a single piece of jewellery, lets say an engagement ring in gold,I spend 200 GHS on the purchase of the needed materials. When the work is complete,I sell the ring for 300 GHS making a profit of 100 GHS which I save at the bank and reinvest in making another piece of work when the need arises.
If my loan application is approved and funded, I will use the amount to make payment towards my first rental home. I have lived with my parents and four siblings my entire life, its time to move out. To be responsible for my self. I have always looked forward to closing from work and going to my own space. A space I can organize to give me a workstation at home. It is close to impossible to work at home with four siblings, who are constantly running around and touching objects ( sometimes very hot objects).
In a space of my own I can work more effectively at home. I intend to have a home office where I can keep track of my various paper work and also have the time and conducive ambiance to upgrade my expertise.
Your help will go a long way to open a new exciting chapter in my life, one I have dreamed about for a very long time. Thank you for your consideration.
